The company will clock up 750 million check-ins later this week with its users currently averaging around 3 million check-ins a day. FourSquare’s users are split 50-50 between international and the US and the company has recorded 358 million global check-ins since launch.
At present, nearly half a million brands are employing FourSquare to connect with users – the application has played a central role in loyalty campaigns by Dominos, Starbucks and Starwood Resorts.
