LilBirdie.com.au hopes to connect media and potential advertisers through dialogue and amazing group buying deals. Will this be a media buying game changer?
Why should consumers have all the fun? LilBirdie.com.au is bringing the group buying advantages to the media and advertising sector.
The site aims to encourage marketing and managing directors of any business that buys media inventory or marketing products to sign up as a member, to receive regular communications about deals from a broad range of providers.
Deals and packages will be available to the general public, upon the official launch of LilBirdie on at midnight on Tuesday, 10 May 2011. Media owners who want to get in on the deal and put their business in front of the company’s database of Australian marketers and business owners, can make offers directly through the site.
The deals on offer will range from TV, radio, print, outdoor and ambient media- as well as vendors of marketing products – such as promotional products and merchandise. With deals to go live on Tuesdays and Thursdays, they will be applicable to both national and local geographies and target consumers and as well as B2B and main media audiences.
“This is not about distress space or hard-to-shift inventory,” said LilBirdie Co-Founder Jonathan Levy. “LilBirdie is about opportunities for the media and potential advertisers to learn more about each other, to take part in a dialogue and importantly, to secure amazing deals.
“For any media owner, promoting their inventory to as many potential advertisers as possible is a labour-intensive and expensive task. On the flip side, for any advertiser their biggest expense is on media. LilBirdie offers a win-win opportunity for both sides.”
